The LX H30-R1 water heater from LX (Whirlpool) typically comes with hot tubs made in China. However, this I-shaped model heater is also applicable as a replacement part for hot tubs, whirlpool baths, or spas produced by other manufacturers.

What makes the LX H30-R1 a favorable replacement for rooster heaters is the stainless steel tube that contains high limit detectors combined with a pressure switch. The tube of this I-shaped type water heater is near in length to those of rooster heaters.

The difference between this LX offering and the Chinese-made rooster water heater lays in the power cable. The rooster readied with a 5 core cable as opposed to the LX. Rewiring the power cable should only be done by a qualified electrician.
