This replacement LX LP300 pump mechanical seal is a pump shaft seal kit. This is a genuine LX water pump spare part for post-2008 pumps.

The two-piece LX LP300 pump seal has a synthetic rubber washer (very durable) that fits tight against the pump's housing. It enables the rotating shaft to go into the pump’s wet section keeping large amounts of water from escaping to other areas of the pump; especially the motor.

Should leaks or a diminished prime be observed, replacing the LX LP300 seal is a proactive way of protecting the water pump from irrepairable damage.
