– Leaks are among the usual causes that can lead to replacing the Bristan CART 06706 cartridge. The single lever ceramic can be hard-wearing, however, the seals can get worn out earlier than other parts of the cartridge.

– Sediments can collect anywhere around the CART 06706 Bristan cartridge, its retaining nut, or under the handle which can calcify making the handle stiff to turn and operate.

Accessing the Bristan CART 06706 Lever Cartridge
– Please close the water supplies before starting the repair.

– The handle retaining screw is located opposite the lever for both the Bristan Qube and Prism lever taps. Prise out the screw cap to access the grub screw. The screw can be removed with a hexagonal key which will then detach the handle from the tap body.

– Unscrew the shroud to access the CART 06706 retaining nut.

– Unscrew the retaining nut.

– Pull the faulty Bristan cartridge to remove it from the tap.

– Seat the replacement CART 06706 Bristan cartridge in the tap. Ensure the locating pins (bottom lugs) are set in its respective slots in the valve to prevent it from turning.

– Return the parts that were removed.
