How to Replace the Franke EOS Kitchen Tap Cartridge

Hot and cold water supplies must be turned off before starting.
– Remove the handle prong.
– Remove the handle cap and the grub screw.
– Remove the stainless steel protective shroud. This can be unscrewed by hand. Use rubber gloves for extra grip if it is too tight.
– Remove the retaining nut using an adjustable spanner.

– Pull the faulty cartridge out. If it remains stuck in the tap valve, use a socket wrench or WD40 to loosen the hardened limescale.
– Clear the inside of the tap unit of any visible dirt.
– Layer a small amount of silicone grease on the bottom O-ring of the new Franke EOS tap valve cartridge replacement spare part.
– As you install the cartridge, make sure the locating pins are inserted in its respective holes found in the tap valve.

– Return the retaining nut and tighten with a spanner to lock the ceramic disc cartridge in.
– Return the stainless steel protective shroud.
– Return the handle cap and secure with the grub screw.
– Return the handle prong.
