Franke Mythos MTX, MTG and MTV Tap Valve 2552RC, S1022 and 133.0438.154 Cartridge Replacement

Fitting the Franke Mythos tap valve replacement can be easy. It can just take a few minutes. The original spare part numbers of the cartridge are 2552RC, S1022 and 133.0438.154. Close the tap’s hot and cold supply before starting the tap repair.

1. Use a 2mm Allen key to loosen the grub screw located under the tap lever handle. Pull to remove the handle.

2. With the same Allen key loosen the screw under the valve cover. Pull to remove the valve cover.

3. Use a spanner on the nut part of the old tap valve. Turn it anti-clockwise to remove the old cartridge.

4. Insert the replacement Franke Mythos MTX / MTG / MTV tap valve compatible cartridge and secure the threads in the valve seat using the spanner.

5. Follow steps 1 and 2 in reverse order to reassemble the handle.

6. Open water supply to test if the Franke Mythos tap valve (2552RC, S1022 and 133.0438.154 compatible cartridge) is installed perfectly and the tap is without drips.
