Question: My tap’s cartridge has 2 sides but this spare part has many sides. Is this the right spare part?
Answer: The nut on the older version of the Franke Ticino tap cartridge is 2 sided (2 flat sides). On the newer version of the cartridge, the nut has 6 sides (hexagon). This is the right compatible spare part for the Franke Ticino.

Important: Please be aware that this replacement cartridge is for taps sold on February 2009 until March 2012.

Question: Is it really important to grease the O-rings?
Answer: Greasing the O-ring of the cartridge with silicone lubricant made for plumbing application is crucial. This step should be done before fitting the Franke Ticino tap cartridge in the valve. This is because the grease helps the new cartridge set inside the valve and it can prolong the life of the rubber ring.
