Relaying the flow of water from a bath tap to a showerhead requires the work of a Vado CEL-001F-V2-DIV diverter cartridge. Chambered inside the valve unit, small as the apparatus is, it can effectively shift the course of high pressure water flow without any leakage.

When water drips from the tap while using the shower or when water no longer diverts from one outlet to another, the cause of the problem might originate from the diverter cartridge. This is because of the usual wear and tear experienced by it through years of use.

A tip to help extend the life of a diverter cartridge is to revert water flow to the tap and let it flow for a couple of seconds before shutting it off.

Changing a Vado Diverter Cartridge CEL-001F-V2-DIV

To replace a diverter cartridge, ensure you have the right replacement part and cold and hot water supplies are completely isolated.

Unscrew the flow control and the thermostatic control handle. Proceed to remove all underlying rings (i.e. cover plate rings, flow valve ring, stop ring, and temperature valve ring) and the cover plate.

The diverter cartridge is usually located on the top part of the valve. Take the sleeve out.

Use an Allen key to undo the grub screw holding the diverter cartridge to extract it.

Prior to fitting the new CEL-001F-V2-DIV Vado diverter cartridge in, scan the valve for grit and other sediments. Clean it with a soft brush or cloth if necessary.

Layer a small amount of silicone lubricant on all the o-rings of the new cartridge. Align it with the lock pins as you install it. Secure and tighten using an Allen key. Place the new diverter sleeve on.

Begin to reassemble the valve by sliding the cover plate back and restoring the temperature valve ring, flow valve ring, cover plate rings, and the stop ring. Affix the flow and thermostatic control handles.
