Question: Tap started to leak. Do I need to replace the cartridge?
Answer: There are a number of causes that lead to a leaking tap. It can be the water pressure, the O-rings or the cartridge itself.

Question: The handle is stiff when I open and close the tap. Is it a cartridge problem?
Answer: If you have just replaced the cartridge, the collar or the handle might be screwed too tight. If you have not recently replaced the cartridge, soap scum or hard water minerals might have hardened. You can clean the soap scum and apply plumbing grease on the cover, spindle and O-ring.

Question: How do I replace the cartridge?
Answer: The Vado ST-212K-CAR is the replacement cartridge for Vado monobloc lever taps. Search for the grub screw. This is usually found at the back of the handle or under the red/blue indicator button. Once the grub screw is out, lift the handle to remove. Remove the shroud and the retaining collar. Then pull the single lever cartridge out.
