Hansgrohe 96339000 Cartridge Replacement Guide
This guide will cover the Hansgrohe PuraVida, Axor Citterio, and Axor Uno.

No matter what type of tap you have, there are a few things to remember before beginning a cartridge replacement DIY. First, it is important to remember to cut off cold and hot water supplies. If isolation valves cannot be located, please switch off water supply direct from the main. Test if isolation is successful by turning the bath tap on. Make sure you are not under any water outlet. Second, put a plug on your drain to block small pieces from falling in. Third, grease the O-rings with suitable plumbing grease to protect it from prematurely wearing out. This cartridge comes with a packet of silicone grease.

Due to corrosion, it might take a lot of force to pull the lever handle out.

PuraVida
1. Use a 2mm Allen key to remove the grub screw located at the back of the bath tap. Pull the lever handle off.
2. Use a 27mm box spanner (or the Hansgrohe universal socket wrench) and turn it anticlockwise to remove the retaining ring.
3. Pull the push-fit Hansgrohe cartridge 96339000 out. Take the two small O-rings out as well.
4. Apply silicone lubricant on the two small O-rings and fit it in the valve seat. Apply silicone lubricant on the single external O-ring of the cartridge and seat it in the tap valve.
5. Follow steps 1 and 2 backwards to complete the repair.

Axor Citterio
1. Use a 3mm Allen key against the back of the Citterio lever handle and pull it up and out.
2. Use a 24 to 27mm box spanner on the retaining nut. Turn it anticlockwise to undo the nut.
3. Remove the springs (2) and washers (2). Some Citterio models come with two O-rings – remove the O-rings.
4. Install the washer and springs (or the O-rings) in the tap valve. Insert the Hansgrohe 96339000 joystick cartridge.
5. Follow steps 1 and 2 in reverse to complete the installation process.

Axor Uno
1. Remove the bath filler spout by turning it anticlockwise. Pull the ring covering the base of the lever handle out.
2. Next, pull the two rings out to uncover the faceplate retaining nuts.
3. Use the top part of the Hansgrohe tool (it comes with the cartridge) to screw the retaining nuts out. Turn it anticlockwise.
4. Slip the faceplate out and pull the lever handle out.
5. Position a 27mm box spanner on top of the single lever cartridge. Rotate it anticlockwise and remove the cartridge, the springs (2) and the washers (2).
6. Fit the washers and the springs followed by the freshly greased Hansgrohe 96339000 cartridge.
7. Redo steps 1 to 4 in reverse to finish the repair.
