Shower Fault Diagnosis: Bristan SK1850-2

The SK1850-2 Bristan TS1850 Head Work controls the water temperature. If you are having a problem with adjusting the temperature or the handle becomes hard to turn, the shower part might need a replacement.

What: Shower outputs only one water temperature.
Why: Calcified sediments can be detrimental to the condition of the shower valve and its parts. The abrasiveness of the sediments may have damaged parts of the Bristan SK1850-2 and the thermostat is no longer working.
How: Replace the Bristan SK1850-2 TS1850 head work and SK1500-3 wax thermostat and piston. The complete cartridge assembly is also available.

What: Reduced water flow.
Why: There might be an airlock. A blockage in the shower valve, hose or shower head. A blocked SK1850-2 Bristan TS1850 head work.
How: Opening all showers and taps in a home can release the airlock. Check the shower valve, hose and shower head for any blockages. Replace the head work.

Why: Leaking from the handle.
Why: Worn-out Bristan SK1850-2 TS1850 cartridge seals.
How: Replace the seal kit (SK1850-1).
