C. Check the water pressure. It must be equal between hot and cold.
D. Check if there are any blockages in the Empress thermostatic cartridge.


Diagnosis #2: Decrease in rate of water flow. A good flow rate is estimated to be about 10 to 15 liters per minute.

What to Check:
A. Clogs in the steel filters of the Empress thermostatic cartridge. Also, check the flow cartridge.
B. Insufficient water pressure.
C. Blocked shower head.


Diagnosis #3: Dripping from the temperature control handle happens when the seals of the Empress thermostatic cartridge weakens and wears out. Replacing the cartridge can be the only solution.

Leaks can also occur from the shower head which can be attributed to the thermostatic cartridge or diverter cartridge.
