Replacing a Grohe 47439000 Compact Cartridge on a Shower Mixer Valve
To access the Grohe 47439000 compact thermostatic cartridge in the Grohe THM 34213 shower mixer, the handle and the retaining ring must be removed. Then, after applying a small amount of silicone grease on the four outer o-rings of the cartridge, it can be installed in the valve seat.

To retrieve the cartridge on an exposed shower valve such as the Grohtherm 2000 Special 34202, remove the right side handle holding the thermostatic cartridge. Unfasten the retaining nut and extract the cartridge. Silicone lubricant must be applied to ensure the cartridge will seat right as you install it in the valve.
