Thermostatic cartridges regulate the temperature of water in accordance with the shower user’s liking. A cartridge is normally calibrated out of the box at a standard temperature of 38℃ (100.4℉) which can be manually adjusted. Inside the cartridge is a wax thermostat element that makes water temperature output control possible. Due to this small apparatus, the temperature can be uniform without unexpected variations.
