Question: The water isn't getting hot enough. Took the cartridge out and it is the 98282000. Don't know if I need to replace it or if the problem is something else?
Answer: You need to do some preliminary checks to make sure that the problem isn't with something else. The main checks are to check whether the shower is receiving hot water. If the shower isn't even receiving hot water from the boiler then it won't be able to output hot water from the shower.

Assuming the shower is receiving hot water then the problem in all likelihood is going to be the thermostatic cartridge.

The thermostatic cartridge is the heart of the shower and it is this part which controls the temperature of the water, therefore if you are having problems with the temperature, the temperature cartridge is a prime suspect.
