Before proceeding to install the Newteam Showerforce SP-081-0520 thermostatic cartridge for shower valve NT 904-T please make sure the hot and cold water supplies are completely isolated. The mains valve can be closed if the isolation valves cannot be found. The drain can also be covered to prevent screws and washers from accidentally rolling in it.

1. Pop out the indice cap of the 904-T temperature control handle. A flat blade screwdriver can be used to do this. Be careful when using the screwdriver to avoid scratching the chrome finish.

2. Unscrew the handle’s retaining screw and separate the handle from the shower valve.

3. Pull out the black plastic temperature limit stop ring. Remember where the stop is pointed. (The stop is the raised part on the face of the stop ring.) This part has to be returned in the same position during reassembly.

4. Unscrew the 734479 retaining nut using a spanner.

5. Use needle-nose pliers and remove the faulty shower temperature cartridge. The spring can detach so see to it that the spring is also removed.

6. Insert the replacement Newteam Showerforce SP-081-0520 thermostatic cartridge and screw the retaining nut to secure the cartridge in place.

7. Return the stop ring (see step 3), the handle, the retaining screw and the indice cap.

8. Open water supplies and check if the installation is a success.
