Bathstore Blade and Metro are both exposed type shower mixer valves. The difference lays in the shape of the housing and the showerheads: Blade is angular while the Metro is circular. The Bathstore Blade and Metro thermostatic cartridge is well suited for either of the two.

Replacing the Bathstore 90000013830 Cartridge on a Blade Thermostatic Mixer
- Remove the handle cap to access the screw. The cap and screw on Bathstore Blade are located on the underside of the handle. Take the cap out and undo the screw to remove the handle.

- Remove the spline adapter and the temperature stop ridge. When those parts are out of the way, the thermostatic cartridge can be freed with a socket spanner.

- Grease the o-rings of the new cartridge using an appropriate plumber’s silicone grease before situating it in the valve seat.

- Reassemble the stop ridge and the spline adapter. Screw in the handle back and return the handle cap.

Replacing the Bathstore 90000013830 Cartridge on a Metro Thermostatic Mixer
- Detach the handle cap located right at the center of the cylindrical handle. Use a small screwdriver to undo the screw and slide the handle out.

- Remove the temperature stop ring and then the cover to uncover the thermostatic cartridge. With a socket wrench extract the old cartridge.

- Apply a small amount of silicone plumbing grease on the three outer o-rings of the new cartridge and seat it in the valve.

- Reconstruct the valve handle by restoring the cartridge cover and the stop ring. Reattach the handle and its screw. Then push the cap back in its place.
