This cartridge is not to be confused with the Crosswater XCP0000251B and the Crosswater XCP0000251B-C thermostatic cartridges as the three cartridges are from the same range (different generations) and look similar.

- If the metal gauzing on the cartridge isn't blocked up and the valve is receiving a steady flow of hot and cold, the problem is likely to be the thermostatic cartridge. Replacing it is likely to fix the problem.
