Moretti Quadratto Shower Cartridge Description

Apt for high and low water pressure systems, Moretti Quadratto shower mixer valve has a pressure range of 0.1 to 1 bar for low pressure and 0.5 to 5 bar for high. The manufacturer calibration setting of the mixer valve has the supply of hot water set at 65℃ (149℉).

The two-tier, push-fit MR8273 is similar to the Bristan thermostatic cartridge CART 06734B. A ready fit with the Quadratto, it measures a little bit over 92mm and has a barrel diameter of 32.4mm. The rounded head nut has a radius of 15mm, equaling to a diameter of 30mm. It comes prepared with a spring and a wax thermostat element.

Shower Repair: Moretti Shower Cartridge Replacement

A thermostatic cartridge can last. With years of repeated use, hard water residue and other dirt can stick to the cartridge impeding water flow. When this happens, the cartridge must be replaced.

This is a general guide in Moretti shower cartridge replacement.
- To access the cartridge in the shower valve, isolate water supplies to the shower and detach the handle loosening the screw.

- Remove the temperature stop ring to access the locking nut and remove it to free the push-fit cartridge.

- Put the new cartridge in the Moretti Quadratto shower valve after applying silicone lubricant on its o-rings.

- Restore all parts to reconstruct the valve handle.

- The calibration of the Moretti Quadratto thermostatic cartridge MR8273 is set beforehand. If the desired temperature setting differs from the manufacturer calibration, grab a thermometer to check the degree of water temperature. Rotate the spindle clockwise (colder) or counterclockwise (hotter) to reach a temperature of 38℃ (100.4℉), or until you reach the temperature you prefer.

- Restore the parts that were removed.
