Question: Atmos Sigma shower is making a loud rattling sound. What could be the problem? Does it need a new thermostatic cartridge?
Answer: There are several things to do when the shower is letting out rattling noise:

– There might be an airlock. Switching all taps and showers in the house might release the air trapped in the pipes.

– Excessive water pressure. The MX Atmos Sigma has a maximum static water pressure of 10 bar. The minimum running water pressure is at 0.1 bar with 5 bar as maximum. The shower could be noisy if water pressure exceeds the recommended figures. You can check the pressure and correct it.

– Faulty thermostatic cartridge. The thermostatic cartridge thread might have been stripped sinking it in the bar shower. Replacing the MX ZKM thermostatic cartridge can stop the noise coming from the shower.

Question: Why is the MX Atmos Sigma shower not producing hot enough water?
Answer: Is the hot water tank at least 15℃ (59℉) hotter than the calibrated temperature. A lower temperature from the cylinder can result in the shower water not being hot enough. Another possibility is a broken MX ZKM thermostatic cartridge with a piston that is not working properly.
