- Question: When the cartridge arrived it had a red mark on the spindle and the body of the cartridge. What does this represent?
- Response: The red mark that you see is a temperature calibration point. When the two red marks line up it means that the temperature of the water should be 38 decrees Celsius. This is to help you install the temperature stop ring at the correct point as the temperature stop ring will lock at 38 degrees to stop the user from getting scolded.

- Question: When I went to unscrew the plastic 83308460 cartridge from the bar with the spanner, the plastic just bent / crumpled under the force. Now there is no flat edge for the spanner to grab onto so how can I get this out?
- Response: First, make sure you are twisting the cartridge the correct way. To take it out you need to turn it anti-clockwise. If you no longer have a good connection with the spanner then you can just use a pair of pliers to grab onto it. The pliers will make a mess on the cartridge but you're replacing the cartridge with a new one anyway so there's no real incentive to be gentle.
