Replacing the Blanco 02545

This is the process for changing the Blanco 02545 cartridge for tap models Eye, Loop, Max, Mode and Spice.

1. Turn off the water flow from under the sink.

2. Kitchen Tap Handle Removal
Blanco Loop, Cleo, Max and Mode: The grub screw is under the handle. Loosen the screw using an Allen key. This will remove the handle and now you should see the top of the Blanco 02545 cartridge.

Blanco Eye: The grub screw is located opposite the handle’s lever. Loosen the screw and pull the lever to separate it from the tap. Remove or unscrew (if it has threads) the cylindrical part of the handle. With the complete handle removed, you should be able to see the top of the 02545 Blanco cartridge.

Blanco Spice: Pop out the screw cap (this is the small button in the middle of the handle) from the side of the handle. Loosen the grub screw until you can pull the handle out. You should be able to see the top of the cartridge.

3. Grip a 17mm spanner on the nut of the faulty cartridge. Turn the spanner to free the cartridge from the tap.

4. Use silicone grease on the O-ring of the new Blanco 02545 cartridge and fit it in the valve seat. Screw it in and tighten with the spanner.

5. Reassemble the tap handle.
