Technical Information: Franke Filterflow Corinthian Tap Cartridge Compatible Spare

This cartridge opens with an anti-clockwise 90-degree turn and closes clockwise. There are 20 spline teeth. The spline diameter measures 6.65 millimeters to 7.76 millimeters.

Franke Filterflow Corinthian Cartridge Installation

Deconstructing the Kitchen Valve Handle
- After completely cutting off water supplies to the kitchen tap, remove the cold indices from the handle on the right side of the tap.

- Unscrew the tap handle, lift the handle cover, and undo the cartridge with a clockwise turn of a spanner.

- To prolong the life of the seals, coat the circumference of the new Franke Filterflow Corinthian cartridge O-ring with plumbing grease. This will lessen friction and pinching.

- Seat the cartridge in the valve and tighten securely.

Reconstructing the Kitchen Valve Handle
- Slip in the valve cover. Attach the tap handle fastening it with the screw. Click the cold indices back in position.

- Reopen cold and hot water supply lines and check for drips around the tap or for any installation issue.

Question: Why Does a Franke Filterflow Corinthian Kitchen Tap Leak?
Taps will drip for certain reasons: water pressure beyond the recommended level, or a broken cartridge and faulty O-rings. It is suggested that the water pressure for the Franke Corinthian tap be set at least 14.5 PSI up to a max pressure of 75 PSI. Exceeding this level will result in tap and cartridge damage, and at the same time leaks.

Excessive water pressure will also cause the cartridge to develop cracks and add more compressive force to the seals wearing it out faster than normal.
