Hansgrohe 94008000: Flow Cartridge Installation Guide

Are you ready to repair a Hansgrohe basin mixer that utilizes the 94008000 on/off flow cartridge? This simple installation guide will be focused on the Axor Carlton valve.

Hansgrohe 94008000 is a clockwise turn to open flow cartridge. This cold side ceramic shut-off cartridge is fitted in the Hansgrohe Axor Carlton, Citterio, Steel and Terrano. Should any of these taps or bath valves undergo issues such as drips or water flow deficiencies, this replacement part might be able to resolve it.

Replacing the Hansgrohe 94008000 in the Carlton valve can be straightforward while it can be complicated for the Citterio and the Hansgrohe Basic Set.

Tools needed to access and change the Hansgrohe shut-off unit 94008000:
– 17mm spanner

1. Turn off the hot and cold water supply.

2. Turn the neck of the Hansgrohe Axor Carlton handle anti-clockwise to remove it.

3. Use the 17mm spanner or box wrench to unscrew the faulty Hansgrohe flow cartridge anti-clockwise.

4. Slip the replacement Hansgrohe 94008000 and secure the threads by turning the spanner clockwise. Tighten the threads to a torque of 15 Nm (hand tight). Do not overtighten.

5. Return the handle and screw it back on the valve in a clockwise motion.


Note: A small amount of lubricant made for plumbing applications must be applied on the O-ring seal of the replacement Hansgrohe shut-off unit 94008000.
