Question: My shower is a Vado Life. How do I open it to fit the new Vado spare CAR-K40A?
Answer:
– Remove the screw cover which is found under the handle.
– Loosen the grub screw to remove the handle.
– Slide the wallplate out.
– You can now remove and replace the single-lever cartridge.

Note: Layer a small amount of silicone grease on the O-ring of the replacement Vado CAR-K40A. This will help the cartridge sit well in the valve.

Question: Do you have any tips for fitting the Vado CAR-K40A?
Answer: When you have installed the Vado spare part, put the lever handle back to the “on” position before securing it with the screw. This will lessen the pressure on the O-ring. Sometimes hardened minerals make the handle hard to remove. So, another tip would be to pull with extra force in case of calcification.

Question: What are the measurements of this Vado spare part?
Answer: The CAR-K40A measures about 63mm in length (without the locating pins) and 40mm in diameter.
