Signs the Meynell SPSL0006J might need replacement:

– Water temperature is erratic or does not adjust on demand.
– Leaks are coming out of the temperature control handle.
– A hard to turn temperature control handle.

Meynell (Mira) SPSL0006J shower cartridge replacement tip:

– Turn off hot and cold water supplies before disassembling the valve.
– Remember the order of the parts you remove. These have to be re-installed in reverse order.
– Remember the position of the "stop" on the temperature limiter ring. It has to be re-installed in the same position.
– It is important to apply a thin coating of plumbing grease on all the O-rings of the SPSL0006J Meynell Safemix and Mira Montpellier shower cartridge before installing it.
– When securing threads, tighten but do not overtighten.
