This is a plastic white polymer thermostatic cartridge and is a screw fit installation, usually used in shower bars.

To remove this cartridge rotate it anti-clockwise.

How-To: Replacing the Triton 83312670 Thermostatic Cartridge

Triton 83312670 fits in the bar valve version of the Altessa, Eline, Mersey and Eldrino. Please isolate hot and cold water supply before starting the shower repair.

1. Remove the handle of the bar shower mixer valve.
– For the Triton Altessa and Elina: Unscrew the handle lever and loosen the grub screw to remove the handle body.

– For the Triton Eldrino and Mersey: Pop out the small circular screw cover at the side of the temperature control handle. Then, undo the screw to separate the handle from the valve.

2. Before removing the temperature stop ring, please make sure you remember the position of the “stop” (i.e. the elevated part on the face of the plastic stop ring). This part has to be returned in the same position; at 12:00. Remove the temperature stop ring.

3. Use an adjustable spanner to rotate the spent Triton 83312670 cartridge anti-clockwise to remove it from the valve.

4. Install the replacement 83312670 thermostatic cartridge and reassemble the valve handle.
