Question: Been using the Felice shower for many years. But since last year we have changed the Triton 83314500 cartridge 4 times already. Do you have any idea why?
Answer: Without seeing the shower valve itself, we can only hazard a guess or two.

– High water pressure: Water pressure that is too high can negatively affect the 83314500 shower cartridge. The recommended running water pressure for the Triton Felice is 0.5 bar minimum and 5 bar maximum. The recommended mains static water pressure is 10 bar maximum.

– Water temperature is too hot: The Felice can accommodate hot water temperature of 35℃ (95℉) to 45℃ (113℉). Temperature higher than this can damage the Triton 83314500 cartridge and cause calcification faster. Check the water temperature. 38℃ (100.4℉) is the factory setting of this shower valve.

Question: Do you have a guide for cartridge replacement?
Answer: The Triton Farah, Felice and Sesca have a similar process for 83314500 cartridge installation. As a precautionary measure, shut off the shower’s water supply and pressure before starting.

– Remove the screw cover from under the temperature control handle. Loosen the screw and remove the handle together with the large washer.

– Remove the temperature stop. Take note that the stop is positioned at 4:00 and 8:00. This should be in the same position in reassembly.

– With a spanner turn the old cartridge anti-clockwise to remove it from the valve.

– Grease the replacement Triton 83314500 cartridge O-rings with the proper heat resistant silicone grease and insert it in the valve bottom first, spindle down.

– Screw in the 83314500 cartridge in place using the spanner and reassemble the temperature stop (make sure the stop is at 4:00 and 8:00), large washer, temperature handle, screw and pop in the screw cover.
