Question: How do I remove the shower valve handle to fit the Triton replacement shower cartridge?
Answer: This will depend on the shower model you have.

– For the Triton Eden Eco and Triton Eden Lever:
The screw is hidden beneath a screw cap which can be found under the flow control handle. Remove the screw cap, the screw, and the subsequent parts to get to the Triton 83315660 thermostatic cartridge.

– For the Triton Verne:
The screw is found on the side of the flow control handle. Remove the screw and the parts following it to open the valve and remove the 83315660 Triton thermostatic cartridge.

Question: What are the problems caused by a faulty shower temperature cartridge?

– An imbalance in water pressure from the hot and cold feeds. Hot and cold water must enter the valve in equal pressure. A pressure equalizing valve installed can help if this is an issue.

– Other household appliances are pulling hot or cold water away from the shower. An example of this would be hot water being pulled by a dishwasher which can temporarily cool down the shower water temperature. Flushing the toilet from another restroom within the home can pull cold water. This can heat shower water temperature momentarily.

– A thermostatic cartridge houses a wax thermo-element which is the temperature regulator of the shower valve. If this shower valve part is broken, a replacement Triton thermostatic cartridge 83315660 will be needed.

Question: Can I use any lubricant on the Triton 83315660?
