This tap cartridge for Carron Phoenix Henley deals with various problems from leaks to a stiff handle. As a compatible cartridge, this tap spare is a budget-friendly alternative to the original. It can also be used in other kitchen taps.

– Remove the cartridge from the tap. Use a ruler to measure the cartridge you have. Then, compare it with the measurements of the Carron Phoenix Henley tap cartridge given above. A measurement diagram can be seen in the last image in the gallery.

– It is important that the number of splines on the cartridge you have matches with this replacement cartridge. So, mark the beginning spline peak point on your cartridge and count from there.

– The hot and cold cartridges cannot be interchanged. This is because the open and close direction is specific to which side it goes in your tap.

Carron Phoenix Henley Tap Cartridge Fitting Instructions

A few pointers before installing the Carron Phoenix Henley tap cartridge: To reduce the likelihood of accidental scalding, turn off the tap’s water supply. Plug the drain to keep the screw safe in case it falls.

1. There is a screw located under the tap’s handle. It can be removed using an Allen key.

2. Pull the handle to remove it. Use extra force if it’s stuck in the tap valve.

3. Use a spanner to remove, then discard, the old cartridge.

4. Apply a thin coating of plumber’s silicone grease on the O-ring of the Carron Phoenix Henley replacement cartridge. Please see the last section for the available grease.

5. Seat the cartridge in the tap valve and tighten using the spanner.

6. Restore the tap handle and the grub screw.
