13. Gear Box Faucet | |
Shen Di has really broken the mould with this gear box shifter faucet. The flow and the temperature of the water are controlled by the 'gear' lever. It's a very niche design which wouldn't work with most people bathrooms, or tastes for that matter, however I'm sure Nigel Mansell would love to get his hands on one of these! |

14. Rettangolo Colour Tap
The Rettangolo Colour by Gessi has made it to our list because of its unique water flow design. I think it would be quite novel seeing the water travelling along the top of the tap before diving out of the end towards ones hands. |

15. The Ovale Tall Tap | |
Ovale T Standing by Gessi is what it looks like; a really tall tap, from the floor up to overhanging the sink. To take full advantage of the design it would be important to use it with a sink that allowed the entire faucet to be seen from the ground up. |

16. Carlo Frattini Electronic Faucet
The Elettronico Electronic Carlo Frattini Faucet by Fima boasts of a touch screen control panel which is specifically designed to save water through it's ingenious electronic controls. The screen also can also display the temperature of the water and is relatively easy to use. http://www.fimacf.com |

17. Minimalistic Colour Tap
Batllo by Ib Rubinetterie: These Batlo minimalistic taps by Ib Rubinetterie would work well in a bathroom which is of the same minimalistic colour. Very funky! http://www.ibrubinetterie.com/eng |

18. The Alien Faucet | |
This tap has been added because of its unusal design. The Alien faucet was designed by Art Design and its sharp angles create an extraterrestrial feel. Another unique focal point is the fact that the water leaves the faucet in an upward fashion fountaining down onto your hands. |

19. Zaha Hadid's Triflow Tap
Zaha Hadid's Triflow tap is beautiful and functional. The water temperature and flow can be controlled by the 'tail' of this elegant swan like design, while the head can be horizontally swivelled from left to right from the midpoint. An impressive tap which could work well in high end bathrooms. |

20. Fluids waterfall bathroom faucet
Fluid's waterfall bathroom faucet resembles an oriental fan and is certainly very unique. The flow of water cascades out of the tap rather than comes out in a cylindrical column like most, which gives a different user experience. The pressure of the cascading water could possibly not be as high has a concentrated column of water in most taps, which could be a disadvantage to some. |

21. Gessi Ceiling Tap | |
Gessi have made it onto our list again with this amazing ceiling tap. Looking like a cabalistic stalactite, it's so incredibly simple, yet it's brilliant! Most people don't have pipes running from their ceiling, but I'm sure if you're going to go for one of these taps then you may be willing for fork out a little more for the behind the scenes pipe work. Water is controlled via the small joystick which can be seen in the photo, or it could be operated using a remote control! |

22. Swarovski Crystal Tap
Absolutely stunning. This Swarovski crystal embedded tap is simply on a different level. The next thing above a tap like this would be a solid gold tap; I think one of the most expensive houses in the world has solid gold taps. This X-Sense Limited Edition tap from Newform could be mistaken however as a normal cheap imitation tap. I certainly hope the gold plating doesn't wear off as you'll literally be washing gold dust down the sink! |

23. The Conealed Tap | |
Look at the photo above. This is a sneaky faucet like you've never seen one before. One touch on the stainless steel plate and the device springs to life, where a small nozzle pops out, dispenses water, pops back in and then hides behind the steel plate again. It does give a very real option to those designing a bathroom who wants it to be as minimalistic as possible. The cover of the device can be changed as to fit the design of one's bathroom tiles, and can be used in a variety of scenarios including the shower, bathtub or bidet. |

24. Miscea Sensor Tap | |
The environmentally friendly SenSor Activated tap from Miscea is a tap which brags of our technological development as humans. The buttons on the tap don't need to be touched, but rather you only need to move your hand close to the buttons to operate a function. The tap can dispense soap and change the temperature of the water all without being touched and apparently saves up to 70% of the amount of water you would use with a 'normal' tap. I wonder how sturdy those buttons are if they were actually pushed on a consistent basis. |
